Background
In an effort to assist students to succeed in a community college and receive a degree or certificate, a limited number of 2 year Incentive Scholarships will be available to Class of 2010 Partnership-eligible high school graduates who meet the eligibility requirements below. The scholarships are for an additional $175 per semester for up to 4 semesters. Incentive Scholarships are limited and will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis, with preference given to students who have successfully completed at least one dual credit course in high school.
Eligibility Guidelines

Students must be Partnership-eligible and meet all regular scholarship requirements.
- Students must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 hours) for Fall 2010 at Northwest Vista College, Palo Alto College, San Antonio College, or St. Philip’s College.

- Complete a certification program;
- Transfer to a university (public or private); OR
- Complete an associate’s degree.
- Students are required to submit “proof” of the above educational goal at the time of submission of the Commitment to College Success Form such as:
- Certification plan;
- Transfer plan or joint admission agreement; OR
- Degree plan.
(These plans list the courses students must take to earn their certificate or degree, or that will transfer to a local university.)

The Commitment to College Success Form will need to be signed by a college advisor or counselor acknowledging the student has visited with him/her for advising and review of degree/certification/transfer plan. Students should visit/call the following offices depending on the college they will attend in Fall 2010 and identify themselves as a Partnership student.
