Keynote Speaker

Greg Pardo graduated from Memorial High School in 2001 and was a recipient of the San Antonio Education Partnership Scholarship, which he used to attend St. Mary’s University. After graduating from St. Mary’s with a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science, he volunteered for two years in Dhaka, Bangladesh with an organization doing rural development. Upon returning to San Antonio in 2007, he began working in the office of then-Texas State Representative Joaquin Castro.

In 2010, Greg received his Master in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. Since then, Greg has served as a U.S. diplomat for the U.S. Department of State. As a U.S. diplomat, Greg has served in the Office of Cuban Affairs, spent five years working in India at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi and U.S. Consulate in Kolkata, and is currently in the Office of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh Affairs. Later this year Greg will begin working in the Office of Israel and Palestine Affairs. Greg is a member of the Edgewood I.S.D. Hall of Fame and was included in the Forbes Magazine 2012 “30 under 30 in Law and Policy.”
