The San Antonio Education Partnership (SAEP) was established in 1989 by a group of San Antonio city leaders. Mayor Henry Cisneros gathered an integral group of education innovators representing the City of San Antonio, leaders of the local colleges and universities, superintendents of the local school districts, Communities Organized for Public Services (COPS), and Metro Alliance.
This group worked together to create an organization that gave and continues to give at-risk students the tools to successfully navigate the process of applying and enrolling in post secondary studies.
For 30 years, SAEP has become a pillar organization in creating a “college-going culture” within the San Antonio community, providing key services for students to reach their college and career goals. The collaborative primary goal is to increase education attainment in the San Antonio community which will improve the city’s economic vitality.
